Edit PDF doc with International Fonts : How ?
I have Acrobat Pro 6.0.1 and I want to edit some text on a PDF file. The text I want to insert is greek-language (I am running XP Pro with international support). However, when using the TouchUp Text tool, the characters appear as extended latin. It is as if Acrobat doesn't understand how to use the "greek" character set of a standard Windows Unicode font (e..g Arial, TmsNewRoman). What's even more strange is that when I try it in the TextBox tool, all I get is dots! And finally, the Note tool works perfectly fine ! The only way to get it working is by installing an older greek TrueType font, which obviously has a single character set (however, this solution is too restrictive - I want to be able to use all the installed Windows fonts in my box).
Has anyone seen this behaviour as well ? Is there something I have to install ? Or is it a feature of Acrobat ?
Thanks a lot for your help !
