XL -- thank you. The wiggling around the mouse during collecting worked. We used to refer to fixes like this as the "swing a rubber chicken over your head" phenomenon.
The network render process is still buggy. One machine will quit before the other, etc., but at least we get some of the benefit of faster rendering.
