24 frame HD convert to 29.97 GS Keying
Has anyone done any keying (hopefully with ultimatte) on green screen footage that has been shot on 24 frame HD which has been converted to D1 29.97 (via Digabeta directly from the camera or a transfer with pulldown and all?), and more importantly, do you have a clip that I can borrow to test before this shoot!!! This guy is shooting this stuff, and I have no idea if we can key it when he gets done with it from the 24 to 29.97 conversion since I've had problems with film footage at different frame rates before.. and he's all from the "I don't know that much about the compositing, I just shoot it and dump it off at some post house" mentality. We don't have Ultimatte for After Effects, so this is going to be a TOTAL PAIN IN THE ASS I am afraid, since I have about a week to do a two or three week edit.
