Don't know much about Windows, but nearly any Quicktime movie looks bad on a computer monitor. The only way to truly evaluate the quality is on an NTSC monitor, and you should have a good production monitor and not just a TV, but even a TV will get you closer than your computer.
PC guys? Codec issues?
