DV, by its nature is horrible at fast risetime transitions. Some DV codecs may claim better performance but if they worked, we'd all have them. You can blow up the edge of any high contrast transition from any DV codec and see terrible artifacting. That's how DV works. Period.
However, the industry is jam packed full of folks like us who do all kinds of stuff for broadcast using DV totally from camera origination clear through to distributing on DV cassette.
