The advanced renderer is not the problem. I've had this happen several times. You have one element, one layer, or one nested comp that is probably scaling up from 0%. Or you have something within the comp that is located precisely ontop of the same x,y,z coordinates as one other element. One of those has a scling operation attached to it, likely.
You will have to find out which one and fix it by moving it or changing the scale so it doesn't start at 0% and using a fade up to help hide the change in scale.
