MEDIA 100 USERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!
I have been having major problems rendering in After Effects after upgrading to Media 100 8.2. Just one example is: when I try to render a comp in AE5.5 with source material [exported from Media 100 as a "by reference movie"]
I get the following error message:
After Effects error: compressing frame of movie-out of memory (-108) (44&39).
When trying to render with the ANIMATION CODEC AE would just crash.
After much trial and error I exported the same movie as "Self-contained movie" and was able to render the project. This is not an acceptable solution because ALL of my previous AE projects have source material exported to AE from Media 100 as "by reference movie" The only other solution I have found is to render with NO compression. This was the only way I found to render a AE comp with source material exported to AE from Media 100 as "by reference movie"
I first started having problems rendering in After Effects after upgrading to MEDIA 100 7.5. I found that if I did not first re-boot the machine after editing in Media 100 [before opening After Effects 5.5]... I got crappy renders.. [when using the Media 100 codec] It was the only way I found to use the media 100 codec safely.
Now with the latest version of Media 100 [8.2] I have found that the problem has compounded.
Another problem I found that started with Media 100 7.5 is that I could not render a Lightwave 7.5 project with the media 100 codec. Lightwave would just crash.
MEDIA 100 8.2 QUICKTIME 6.3 AFTER EFFECTS 5.5 DUAL 1GHZ PROCESSOR 1.75 GB memory
