The weird thing is the first stuff I digitized the first day from avid, I did the guess and it found a pulldown 29.9 WWSSW at Effective framerate of 23.976 fps and it looks and keys great (with the demo version of Ultimatte for After Effects that they still won't buy us). They keyed the stuff with Ultimatte for the symphony which did an ok job, but the video looks all jagged when I de-interlace it (with our without a pulldown) with no interlacing lines, but when I leave it de-interlaced it has good edges, but has the interlacing lines every once in a while. We don't know what we did when I digitized it versus when they digitized it on the avid, same version, different machines, but probably the same frame rate and settings. The only thing we can think is maybe the project was set up by the media logger when it digitized it.. they don't have any settings quide for HD pulldown, but there is definately something funky with the stuff they are outputting to me de-interlaced/pulldown/no pulldown or not.
